Blog #2 First Studio Journal Entry

So this is the first journal entry for my "studio time". I've been thinking about what I want to do for my Thesis and I was leaning towards making a book. The book would consist if all the things that happen in my life/school year.
I took a lot of different classes during my high school and college years so why not combine everything I know into one unique book? Each page(s) would tell a story about myself in general or one important event.
One of things I would like to include would be my relationship over the summer. We've had our ups and downs throughout our relationship. It's been a year and 5 months since we've been together officially. It was an on and off thing but the main thing is that we're still together after everything and I find that amazing. There's definitely crazy drama that went on but it made our journey interesting. Of course the details would be shown in the book. It wouldn't be interesting if I wrote all our adventures in writing because the different pages would show you my point of view.
I want to make a complex book because having one book couldn't possibly tell every story so it will be multiple books together as one. Each one would be created uniquely. It will be divided into categories since not everything/one is connected to one another other than myself.
I made hand-made paper that I want to use. I enjoy building sculptures and making crafts out of materials I have so I'm not how I will incorporate that but depending on my "story"- we'll see. I am a graphic designer so that will be the most dominant feature of the book. I want to stick to a book that's graphically design but still have that graphic design element. I also paint and draw so the personally things would be hand-crafted. I want to explore different options and break free of my comfort zone but I still want people to see that I am a graphic designer at the same time. Other things I might include could be photography and printmaking.
My life is so controlled that it reflects in my work. I like to be more free but in the real world-life doesn't always work that way.
